Description
Impact Oakland’s “Intro to Boxing” program, hosted with Oakland County Sheriff PAL, introduces middle school-aged youth to the fundamentals of boxing in a safe, no-contact setting. Guided by USA Boxing-certified coaches, participants will learn essential boxing techniques, improve coordination, and build overall fitness. Sessions include skill-focused drills, conditioning exercises, and hands-on training that help youth develop focus, discipline, and confidence in a structured, supportive environment. In each session boxing training is combined with lessons that inspire learning and personal growth. These experiences keep participants engaged, challenge them to think in new ways, and help them develop skills that build confidence and resilience both in and out of the gym. Participants will have the chance to build lasting connections and be part of a positive community that supports their development. There will also be opt-in opportunities for faith-based discussions and mentorship.
