Sheriff PAL’s Play it Safe Series Building Healthy Minds and Kind Hearts: Promoting Empathy in Our Community, Presented by Kids Empowered on the Move In this session, kids will learn and discuss the importance of the Sheriff PAL Character Pillar of Empathy and how to put it into practice on a daily basis. Kids will talk through ways that they can practice this skill on a daily basis with activities designed for young learners. Participants will put empathy into action by assembling Blessing Bags for our unhoused neighbors in Oakland County. A family style dinner will be served. Caregivers are welcome to attend and participate with their child. If you are able, consider bringing a donation of items for the blessing bags such as unused travel toiletries, new toothbrushes/toothpaste, granola bars, small hand sanitizer or wipes, small water bottles, etc.
